Jeers, Applause, Empathetic Murmurs

This is a placeholder for people to submit general thoughts, ideas, or feedback on whatever might be on your mind. All topics are open for discussion as far as I'm concerned, though any Comment with the words "Britney" or "Federline" in it risks being deleted. Comments containing extravagant praise about a certain reviewer writing for a certain weekly magazine in a certain central Virginia town are given special consideration.

If you'd like to send me feedback directly without it showing up on this here blog, feel free to email me at davetline@aol.com. That is unless you are a bad bad spammer person in which case, may your pinkies fall off and your ears grow prodigious amounts of hair.

Like, thanks, Sarah, most whack babe of all time (making your lovely baby like a whack babe squared or something?), though old D.L. has been put out to that big critic pasture where they send weary pseudonyms...

Just wanted you to know that even though there aren't a lot of "comments" you are not writing this blog in vain - I look it up everyday and so do other theatre folks I know - so keep up the great work! And thank you very much for keeping us informed and entertained. XO

Sorry about the last one, the link didn't work.

But you've been noticed by the Richmond Blogging Cummunity!!! So Has the Richmond Marquee!

http://southofthejames.wordpress.com

My Bro-In-Law helped start the RVA Blogs to which they refer, and it's not a bad idea, alot of people read it. I've been meaning to suggest you get your blog on it for awhile. It could get some new people into the theatre!

Dave T, where did you go man? I'm madly missing the scoop!

Wow! Lookey what I stumbled across...how the hell is Mr. Hintz/Timberline and how is life in my old stomping ground? I don't get a listing as an expatriate? Dave, I'm hurt...I'm starting my 4th season out here in Lex Vegas and in my best Bruce Miller impression I have expanded the theatre into a vineyard in Midway, where we ran into you and Holly lo those many years ago...We are currently running Love's Labour's Lost as part of the inaugural Shakespeare at Equus Run...Check us out, when are you getting out to Kentucky again? Stop by and say, "hi"...

You are quite the man. Thanks for all your hard work at keeping the Richmond Theatre community in the know. I always come here if I want the real story. Your opinions are highly respected. Keep on truckin' my good man.

Dave, I love reading your insights and points-of-view regarding Richmond theatre! I have a correction, however: In your list of links under "The Producers," instead of "Science Museum Theatre," it should read the actual name of the theatre company, which is "Carpenter Science Theatre Company." And the actual link to our website is:

http://www.smv.org/nowshowing/cst/Default.asp

(Oh geez, if the link doesn't work I'll feel like a freakin' fool!)

Thanks!

Larry Gard, Artistic Director
Carpenter Science Theatre Company

I just moved here and your blog is the most comprehensive information I have found on theatre in the area so far. Nice job and thank you!

I don't blog, and I don't know if this will get through-- but I urge all readers to RUN to the Firehouse and see "Eurydice." Playwright Sarah Ruhl is so good I don't even bother feeling jealous, and the production is filled with moments and performances which literally took my breath away. It's fun and it's smart and it's heart wrenching and it's lovely and it's-- just go see it!

Hi Dave,
In your May 11th "I Spy" blog, regarding the "lovely and enthusiastic Jackie Jones", I would like to second that description! Not only does Jackie come to as many shows as possible; she always comes with delicious homemade treats for the cast and crew. And yes, her enthusiasm for the arts, both in viewing and performing, is delightful! I am always thrilled to see her on stage, as well as in the audience!!
