More "Medea"

I was happy that the T-D did a story on “Medea” as well as Style because they were able to go into a little bit more depth about the production and Mary Vreeland, the star. Of course, I would have preferred being able to highlight the things that Ms. Vreeland and Ms. Davies told me but still, some interesting tidbits got in. One funny detail – I interviewed Ms. Davies and Ms. Vreeland in the same office where the picture for the T-D was taken and the director, interpreter, star and interviewer (based on where Ms. Davies is looking) were in the exact same configuration. OK, maybe just funny to me…

I won't get a chance to see the production but I did run into a friend who left the show at intermission. Not exactly an endorsement. But please go see it yourself and let me know what you think.

I’m adding a link to Andrew Hamm’s blog below in the “No People Like Show People” section. Based on what I’ve read, Mr. Hamm writes at length about many interesting topics, not just theater. I’ve enjoyed reading his take on the political scene over these past weeks; not necessarily agreed with his take, but enjoyed reading it just the same. He also gets a lot more comments than I do so is a more enjoyable and provocative writer, has more friends than I do, or most likely, both. My impression is that a debate between Mr. Hamm and Mr. Wichmann would prove verrrrry interesting...

I'm trying to decide which Looney Tunes or Veggie Tales tie I should wear for the debate with Scott.

Seriously, Scott and I usually just end up talking about Spider-Man and the Red Sox. All idealogical differences vanish when you can agree that the Yankees are the official baseball team of Satan.

Oh, and thanks for the link. That's very kind.

Your post got me thinking, and I ran over to Andrew's Blog to check it out-- I was inspired to post something new about the current political climate, As well as a career update-- guess where I'm going next...

Andrew & I can definitely agree on our mutual loathing of the Yankees, and we're both comic book geeks with waaay too much pop culture crapola floating around in our craniums like so many alpha-bits.

Scott,

Can't find any reference to a career update. Maybe I was laughing too hard at the image of us with tiny podiums and David Byrne "Once in a Lifetime" suits.
