Dan on the Mountain

I haven’t linked to nearly enough Herald-Progress reviews in the past. As a step toward remediating that oversite, here’s a link to Mr. Sherrier’s review of “Smoke on the Mountain Homecoming” which came out last week.

Hey Dave,

Not exactly related to this post, but Theatre VCU has a new interactive blog, and in regards to opening Dead Man's Cell phone opened this past weekend, and Shafer Alliance Laboratory Theatre is producing Godspell this weekend Thursday through Sunday.

Richmond Professional theatre needs to be in the know about Richmond Academic Theatre, cause the children are the future. VCU consistently provides Richmond with generation after generation of young, passionate, hard working respectful talent. I'm of course a bit biased, however it's true. I wonder how many current richmond faves/regulars graduated from VCU?

my best,

Joe Carlson

Hi Joe!
You're absolutely right -- I wish I was more on top of what's happening in the academic scene. I appreciate the information. I've already heard some good stuff about Dead Man's Cell Phone. The students and professors at VCU, U of R, and the other area colleges are a real energizing force in the Richmond theater community. Feel free to provide updates as you have them!
Thanks,
Dave
