Let me just throw this out there

In catching up with things back here in the real world, it seems to me that activity in the blogosphere has contracted, not just in the past couple weeks but over the past several months. What do you all think?

I guess the bigger question I have is: are blogs dying? Does it make sense for me to even keep up this blog? A great deal of online interactivity seems to have migrated to the world of Facebook. Would it make more sense – or work better for people – if I just created / kept up a Facebook page (technically, ANOTHER page since there already is one) on Richmond theater?

Since you all are the “customers” as far as this blog goes, I’d be curious what would serve you better or just what your perspective is. Fire away!

Oh, please! Please leave it right where it is! I can't imagine enjoying your posts the way I do, if they were surrounded by all the facebook "noise". Besides, I spend too much time on facebook as it is.

believe me, the blogs are still out there. I think people are just trying to make those ends meet right now, so the posts are fewer and farther between.

I'm going with Glenn. Just because folks don't post a lot of comments doesn't mean we're not checking in Dave. Okay, maybe not every day, but regularly.

I've been sucked into Facebook but the blog is available to all, so in terms of inclusion: Keep on truckin' is my two cents.

Dave, our FB fanpage is updated automatically with each new blog post...

Your blog is of tremendous value to theatre audiences and to companies alike. Very happy you're back on dry land.

A David Timberline Facebook fan page, anyone?

Please keep the blog, I'm very much with Glenn. I like the sharper focus of the blog format. I'm not on Facebook for various reasons, so this is a real asset for me.

Dave, I promise you that many of us read your blog and talk about things with each other. It's just that being in shows, producing, keeping up with @%$*& Facebook, and life in general stops many of us from commenting. But Horton...we are here! We are here!
