These "trailers" could be posted by each theater company on YouTube and other websites, and/or perhaps a trade could be arranged with a local TV station---air time for program ads, etc.Angelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09361977355435602010noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29175306.post-60129077190573421132009-09-03T20:49:31.499-04:002009-09-03T20:49:31.499-04:00Thanks, kb! I guess I was thinking along similar lines: not necessarily just new works but whatever each company is working on for the fall (or the spring for that matter). I think I'd prefer it in one location like with the Kennedy Center event, someplace big and central where many things could be going on simultaneously, like CenterStage. Or maybe Acts of Faith could bring in each show on its slate for a weekend run at CenterStage so it'd almost be like rep. Logistically challenging but still, I think there are many interesting possibilities along these lines of exploration...Dave Thttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01554650648344826824noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29175306.post-48009949038728268692009-09-03T20:29:39.991-04:002009-09-03T20:29:39.991-04:00i've always loved the page to stage idea...
BC...i've always loved the page to stage idea...
BC: i wonder if we would (should we all get on board to make something like this happen in our region) need to stay focused on new works?
what if we combined this idea with something similar to TCG's free night of theatre, and create a three-day span at the beginning of all of our seasons where each theatre opens their doors to the community to allow 'the process' be experienced by everyone...
i know not everyone has the same season, but it's this time of year when everyone's really getting back into the swing of things that i find the most exciting...
david, you may be onto something!kb sainehttp://www.sycamorerouge.orgnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29175306.post-76409747833759441432009-09-03T16:43:45.468-04:002009-09-03T16:43:45.468-04:00and a lifetime supply of hair productsand a lifetime supply of hair productsAnjnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29175306.post-60709071782403709622009-09-03T15:03:48.683-04:002009-09-03T15:03:48.683-04:00I don't think Richmond is ready for any kind o...I don't think Richmond is ready for any kind of peer awards ceremony. The same ugliness, and bullshit would take place with those as well. Once a year at this point is enough. I just want to remember how fun last year was, and how NICE everyone was to each other. And what an educational experience if students were brought in to watch this kind of stuff!

(so many exclamation points...I'm trying to not put one here...I'm really trying)

!!!Thespis' Little Helperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03916895788691907962noreply@blogger.com
